In daily maintenance  task you must have encountered bearing with missing bearing number due to breaking, wearing of bearing with time or might found some serial number mentioned from the machine OEM which dose not have any relation with bearing nomenclature. These decoded bearing from OEM will cost you more than the normal bearing available in reputed brands like SKF Bearing, FAG Bearings, TIMKEN Bearings Etc, Where you can get them easily by telling the bearing number.

We can easily found the bearing number with the help of Bearing Catalog app available in GOOGLE Play store simply by measuring the bearing with the help of vernier scale.

Just measure & note down the three parameters of the bearing i.e 

1. Inner Diameter of bearing.
   
   
   
2. Outer Diameter of bearing.
   
3. Thickness of bearing.
   

Lets take some random side, 

1. ID of bearing - 40.
2. OD of bearing - 80.
3. Thickness of bearing 23.

Just download the app or Click on the app image to get the download link

Download the bearing finding app

 Input the bearing size i.e the ID & OD of bearing & click on search button.

Now you will get the list of  sevral bearing having 40mm ID & 80mm OD, You just have to match the thickness or breadth of the bearing to identify the right bearing number
